My Favorite Voyager Views

Making Tracks

Anika Stone enoyed the ski trails at Voyager this year. Good snow and groomed trails made for a great winter of cross-country skiing for all ages.

Father and Sons

Here are a couple of our favorite Voyager Views: Top--Father (John) and Son (Connor, age 11) spending an afternoon together on the course. Bottom--Thomas loves to run out to meet Dad on Hole #2.

Catching Spring Fever

When my wife Debbie and I became part of Voyager Village we were told " Voyager Village is all about Golf." Well, I have to tell you that is not true. That's not a mail box painted to look like a Large Mouth Bass. It's an 18 inch Voyager Village Bass. My wife Debbie just had to out do me. She caught an 18 1/2 inch Large Mouth Bass last summer beating my 18 incher Then on Labor Day Weekend she caught a 19 1/2 inch Bass. I think you Voyager Village Golfers should just keep chasing those little balls!

Call of the Wild

We were fishing just off the grassy islands on Shoal Lake. This wonderful Loon comes out of the thick weeds and displays no fear of us. I just could not pass up an opportunity to take a photo like this. With the cost of living constantly on the rise, the value of our time spent at Voyager Village is purely priceless.

Wood That Be a Relative?

I think it's fun to take pictures of the local animals. Here's a Mama Bear and two cubs visiting a humming bird feeder for a sweet drink. It doesn't seem to bother them that there is a carved bear in front of the house maybe it's a welcome.

Voyager Symbol

My photo is true to the heritage of Voyager Village--if you look at the old logo and signs and the head carving of an American Bald Eagle above the entrance to the restaurant.

Voyager Village at Rainbow's End

My wife Debbie and I were about five miles from Voyager Village on May 16, 2008 when the skies just opened up and it started to rain. On the way to our cabin we passed this little pond off of Kilkare Road a double rainbow came to life right before our eyes. I stopped the van and Debbie grabbed the camera to take this photo. We look forward to every weekend in Voyager Village. I have said many times there are things you see in Voyager Village that we would never experience back home.

Wedding Bells on East Cadotte

My husband, Sheldon Hohbein, and I were married on the beach
at East Cadotte. We chose it because one of our friends told
us to pick some place that was special to us and that we
would enjoy going back to. We love Voyager Village and so do
our friends.
