Overview

Your Up-North Retreat just two hours from the Twin Cities and Eau Claire

Located in Northwest Wisconsin’s beautiful Burnett County, Voyager Village is a welcoming residential and recreational community especially popular among Minneapolis and St. Paul residents seeking an Up North vacation or retirement home. Our community spans 5,200 acres of pristine Northwoods property filled with lakes, streams and wildlife. Homes and building sites are carefully nestled into the natural landscape, creating such a sense of solitude and privacy that most people are surprised to discover that so many other people live here. Our convenient-yet-secluded location means less time spent driving to your up-north retreat and more time spent teeing off, casting a line, lounging lakeside, hiking our extensive trails, and sharing moments with remembering with the ones who matter most. It’s the private getaway you’re looking for and it’s only two hours outside the city.

Celebrating nature, recreation and community

Our community exists because of the vision of famed Wisconsin land developer N.E. Isaacson. During the 1960s, he recognized the growing popularity of Northwoods getaways for Twin Cities’ residents seeking refuge from the hustle and bustle of city life. He began imagining a way to provide just such a community here. Voyager Village was incorporated in 1970 and has been an engaged community and getaway destination ever since. Isaacson’s appreciation for our abundant natural surroundings, quality outdoor recreation, community volunteerism and an individual’s need to “commune privately with nature” are reflected in every aspect of community.

Today, the Voyager Village Property Owner’s Association—its board, its members and its employees—are guided by the following mission, vision and values.
