At Voyager Village, you have great freedom to manage the trees on your owned lot(s), but it’s important to understand the restrictions put in place by the A&E committee. Here is everything you’ll need to know at a glance.
Q. Who is the A&E committee?
A. The Architectural and Environ-mental control of Voyager Village is a part of the legally filed Covenants of Voyager Village (Article VI; section 1). The responsibility of the A&E Committee is to review, control, protect and preserve the values, amenities, and qualities of the Voyager Village Covenants.
Q. What is the process for filling out an application?
A. If property owners wish to complete any improvements, additions or new construction within the village, a Voyager Village Construction or Improvement Permit application must be filled out and submitted no less than (30) days prior to the contemplated commencement. The application will be reviewed by the A&E committee, and they shall render its decision regarding the permit application within fourteen (14) days after receiving the completed application. The application is available from the POA office either through e-mail or in-person pick up at the POA office.
Q. Am I allowed to do my own tree cutting?
A. Yes, absolutely. Just make sure you are within the boundaries of your lot lines. It is the owner’s responsibility to know and understand the exact boundaries of their Lot.
Q. Can I take trees down that have fallen unto my property from the common green area?
A. No, you would need to contact the POA office. We would then notify the Facilities and Grounds Manager to get the tree taken care of.
Q. Can I take trees down that are dead in the Common Green Areas?
A. No, you would need to contact the POA office. We would then notify the Facilities and Grounds Manager who would then access the situation.
Q. Are there certain trees that are protected in Voyager Village?
A. No, there are not any trees that are protected in Voyager Village from being cut down that are on your property.
